Man Arrested for Death Threats Against Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui Following Baba Siddique’s Assassination

Noida: A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Noida over death threats allegedly sent to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of the recently assassinated NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Baba Siddique. This incident is reminiscent of the tragic murder of Baba Siddique, who was shot near his sons office in Bandra on October 12. The threat demanded ransom payments, which links the intimidation to a suspected ongoing vendetta against the Siddiqui family and Salman Khan.


The police arrested Gufran Khan on transit remand while claiming that the threats had been issued to Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office. Police identified another person involved in the threat as Mohammed Tayyabwho was arrested after the FIR was filed soon after the complaint from Siddiquis office that indicated the gravity of the situation due to the Siddiqui familyordeal.

Background: Salman Khan's History with Death Threats

The threats to Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui are not isolated incidents. The Bollywood star had received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which members were involved in major criminal activities. This group was said to have threatened Salman, and they even opened fire outside his Bandra house in April, which really increased Salman’s security at that time.

Another recent case is that of Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur, who was caught for sending a threat message to the WhatsApp helpline of the Mumbai traffic police, demanding ₹5 crore. This pattern of threats made against public figures and demand for ransoms raised security concerns for law enforcers.
